Born in 1961 in Rome, Nicola Lagioia’s life has been strongly influenced by the compelling force of music. From his earliest memories, Lagioia has been attracted to the magic of sound and has always considered himself an “enthusiastic musician” (he is also a singer, guitarist, bassist and songwriter). His musical career began when he was invited to perform at the piano bar of Bologna’s historic Teatro Piccolomini together with Enrico Rava. Lagioia has written an extensive number of songs for film and television productions including RAI TV's hit series Metti una sera a cena (2001), La bella di notte (2002), Il mestiere delle armi (2006), Il gioco del pugile (2008), La leggenda di Spartaco (2011) and many more.
